Vacuum Furnace Range

Testing in controlled atmospheres at high temperatures is becoming ever more demanding with advances in materials and their application temperatures.

We have been producing these systems for over 20 years. Our team of experts have extensive experience in this field and will be only too pleased to discuss your challenges to find the most appropriate solution for you.

Here are just two versions of our Vacuum range:

The first is a “hot walled” retort system where the controlled atmosphere is within the sealed quartz tube. The furnace controls the specimen temperature extremely accurately heating through the retort. This system is capable of achieving up the 1000°C on the specimen in inert gas or vacuum down to 10-5 Mbar.

The second is a “cold walled” fully modular vacuum furnace capable of heating via multi heating element types such as Radio Frequency (RF / Induction) or direct resistance of the specimen. Depending on the specimen material and geometry specimen temperatures of up to 3000°C can be achieved.

This system is compatible with a variety of mechanical testing machines and can be fully integrated into the universal test machine’s testing software which allows for efficient, reliable, accurate, and reproducible test results.

Modularity includes:

  • Various testing atmospheres
  • Temperature range 100 to 3000°C
  • Contact or optical measurement / DIC / Laser / Video / Pyrometry
  • Thermocouples – various type available

These advanced systems enable our customers to push beyond the known limits of materials performance, supporting qualification and testing in some of the most extreme and hostile environments imaginable. Developed as a critical elevated-temperature technology to fill a gap in materials testing and qualification across numerous sectors including fusion, fission, space, defence, aerospace, and additive manufacturing to name but a few.

Engineered to meet the rigorous standards of these industries, our vacuum furnace systems provide precise high-temperature control, stable & repeatable atmospheres, and uncompromising reliability for critical materials and component testing.

We also represent Materials Research Furnaces Inc. across Europe. MATERIALS RESEARCH FURNACES, LLC, designs, manufactures, and services industrial high-temperature, vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnaces for a wide range of applications. Contact us for more information and to discuss your needs.
